M260 - RS 400

The AMG A 35 4MATIC is already among the leading lights in the sports compact class, packing some 306 hp and 400Nm straight out of the factory, we decided to give its engine a further injection of power. Our largest performance boost for this entry-level AMG model goes by the name of A 35 RS 400 and - as the name suggests - boasts 400 hp along with maximum torque of 550 Nm. To achieve these figures, we equipped the A 35s M260DE20AL four-cylinder engine with a more efficient, upgraded turbocharger and optimized the engine control units map. And that is not all. Our holistic tuning concept also includes optimizing the control devices for the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7G transmission and drive chain (CPC), helping the A 35 RS 400 to translate motor force into speed as effectively as possible. To put this into figures, it can power from 0-100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds, while the software optimizations have unlocked a top speed of 295 km/h. This means that our A 35 RS 400 easily surpasses (the factory version of) its brother, the AMG A 45.
